What a year 2008 was for us! For starters we moved our family to Idaho to start Austin Kade Academy with our great partners. We have over 60 fabulous students who we really love and care about their future success in the beauty industry. We have a kick butt staff that are dedicated to the industry and to us and I couldn't ask for a better team to lead the students in their pursuit of knowledge. Austin Kade this year has hosted many amazing guest artists, Phillip Wilson leading that list and the students and professionals who were privledged to attend his class were forever inspired. AKA won a trophey in the Idaho Falls 4th of July Parade and participated in many community events, including the students and school donating their expertise and time in exchange for items for the local food bank and wrapping presents for seniors at Christmas. The students and staff banded together with the passing of a beloved friend and an inspiring sister, both to cancer. We have been inspired at the NAHA Awards and will hopefully have some nominations of our own for 09! We have had ups and we have had downs, but we have had each other. Our families. Our faith. Our love for the industry. Our thirst for more...knowledge, friendship, time with those we love, creative freedom and the ability to help others around us. To give without needing to receive anything in return. It has been so AMAZING!
2009 will prove to be even more exciting! Some of the things we are looking forward to at Austin Kade Academy this year are:
